Materials We Work With
Getting the material selection right is more important than most buyers realise. A butterfly valve that works perfectly on a water line may fail quickly in chemical service if the seat or body material isn’t matched to the fluid.

Actuation Options
More plants in Gujarat are moving toward automated valve operation. We supply butterfly valves in manual and actuated configurations — as pre-assembled, tested packages.
Manual operation:

Dimensional inspection — Face-to-face dimensions, flange drilling, and bore concentricity checked against relevant standards.
Material verification — Body, disc, and seat materials verified against purchase specifications. Material test certificates retained for every production batch.

What is a butterfly valve and how does it work?
A butterfly valve controls flow by rotating a disc on a central stem. A quarter turn — 90 degrees — moves the valve from fully open to fully closed. The disc sits in the centre of the pipe and rotates to allow or block flow. Because the disc remains in the flow path even when open, butterfly valves produce slightly higher pressure drop than full-bore designs like ball valves. This is acceptable in most general service applications.
What is the difference between wafer type and lug type butterfly valves?
A wafer type butterfly valve sits between pipeline flanges and relies on through-bolts to hold it in place. It cannot hold pressure if the downstream piping is removed. A lug type butterfly valve has threaded inserts that allow independent bolting to each pipeline flange — so it can hold pressure with the downstream side disconnected. Lug type is required for dead-end service.
Which seat material should I choose for my butterfly valve?
The seat material depends on your process fluid. EPDM suits water and mild chemical service. NBR suits oils and hydrocarbons. PTFE suits aggressive chemicals including acids and solvents.
